Privacy Policy
Last updated
This Privacy Policy explains what information Codeventures ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit https://codeventures.dev, contact us, use our chatbot or book a call, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. If anything is unclear, email us at codeventures.consult@gmail.com.
Who we are
Codeventures is an AI and automation company. For the personal information described in this policy, Codeventures is the controller: we decide how and why it is used. You can reach us at codeventures.consult@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), company (optional), budget range and your message.
- Chatbot: the messages you type to our website assistant, Cody, and any details you share in the chat, such as your name, email address or meeting preferences.
- Meeting bookings: your name, email address, chosen time slot and the topic of the meeting, whether you book through the chatbot or our booking page. When booking through the chatbot we email you a one-time code to confirm your address.
- Emails and calls: anything you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
- How you found us: the first page you visited, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source). This is kept in your browser's session storage during your visit and sent to us only if you submit the contact form.
- Chat session: your chat history and a random session identifier are kept in your browser's session storage so the conversation continues as you move between pages. They are cleared when you close the tab.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used for security and to keep the site running.
- Analytics (if enabled): we may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether a form was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial account or government ID details through the website. Please don't include them in forms or chats.
How we use your information
- To respond to you: answer your enquiry, send you a time for your free audit, and follow up about the services you asked about.
- To run meetings: schedule, confirm and prepare for calls you book.
- To operate our chatbot: generate answers to your questions and, if you ask, book a meeting.
- To understand what works: see which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, so we can improve our website and content.
- To keep the site secure: prevent spam, abuse and fraud.
- To meet legal obligations: for example keeping records we are required to keep.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on:
- Your request and steps before a contract when you ask us about our services or book a call
- Legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our website and in following up on enquiries you started
- Consent where required, for example for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time
- Legal obligation where we must keep certain records
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Website hosting provider, which serves the site and keeps server logs
- Our automation platform (n8n), which runs on our own server and processes form submissions, chatbot conversations and bookings
- Google, for email (Gmail), calendar and booking (Google Calendar), and analytics (Google Analytics, if enabled)
- AI model providers, which process chatbot messages to generate replies. Depending on configuration these may include Groq, OpenRouter (for example Google Gemini models), Google, OpenAI or Anthropic. We send only the conversation needed to answer you.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, in which case this policy continues to apply.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and leads: for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the length of our relationship. If we don't work together, we delete or anonymize your details within 24 months of our last contact.
- Chatbot conversations: the in-browser chat history is cleared when you close the tab. Conversation records in our automation logs are kept only for a limited period for troubleshooting and then deleted.
- Booking records: kept in our calendar as long as needed to manage the meeting and our business records.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information
- Object to, or restrict, how we use it
- Receive a copy of it in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
- Complain to your local data protection authority
California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, email codeventures.consult@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we'll respond within the time required by law.
Marketing
If you contact us about our services, we may follow up about that enquiry. We won't add you to a newsletter or send unrelated marketing without your permission, and every marketing email will include a way to opt out.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to our systems, and spam and abuse protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Data we handle for clients
When we build systems for clients, we may process data that belongs to them or their customers. That processing is governed by our agreement with the client, and the client remains responsible for that data. This policy covers only information we collect through our own website and communications.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites and services, such as Google Calendar and LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we'll make that clear on this page.
